What do we want to do?
Community energy is on the rise today, but the question is who it will really help. Emancipation is not a luxury, but a necessity. That's why we want to ensure that everyone has access to community energy, which could significantly improve our living situation.
How do we want to do this?
Our goal is to establish an energy community in the coal region that would be accessible to everyone - including low-income households, women and minorities. We want to create a model that can be replicated in other regions as well. And if that doesn't work, we want to find out why so we can come up with a better solution.
Specific steps:
- Gathering information and mapping the situation - We will conduct a detailed analysis of the current situation and share our personal experience through our cooperative.
- Connecting people with the same interest - We will actively organize community meetings, connect grassroots movements with ordinary people and work with our existing allies.
- Creating a plan - We will develop a detailed plan for implementing our energy community.
- Project Implementation - We will put the plan into action and create a working model for community energy.
- Disseminate results - We will inform others about our experience, for example through brochures or video series, so they can follow our example.
